Mesh challenge

This week’s Designer Challenge had Rustica’s Maxwell Graf, and Morphe Inc.’s Abel Dreamscape, two of my favorite SL creators, to the test of interpreting a RL picture into their own mesh vision in SL. The results are in and are view-able in Rustica and Morphe Inc. inworld stores.

Both of them did an excellent job, with Graf producing the lowest prim/prim equivalent fireplace, and Dreamscape having an edge on the chairs and table [read updates below]. Textures in both are wonderful, and will cheer the living room of anyone wanting or needing an antique touch to their house decoration. At the time of this post only Rustica’s set is already available for purchase –I guess Abel had to go to bed before Maxwell finished his job. 😛

Update: Morphe Inc. set is available now too.
Update 2: After a mutual support session, Maxwell’s chairs went down on price and prims, but became no-copy. Now his chairs are lower prims than Abel’s, while Abel steals the title for lowest prim fireplace and table, and retain the copyable status, woot. The two seat (loveseat) chair in Maxwell’s set is also gone. It will be available later as an “add-on”  to the set.
Update 3: Maxwell fixed his set; now it’s copyable too. 🙂

Backyard

Last weekend I decided to cut my land in half. I wasn’t seeing any use in having a large plot (I may have been in an out-of-my-mind mental lapse), not even a precious waterfront corner lot. And so I proceeded to empty Nowhere,  and to move to Next to Nowhere that little decaying scene I appreciated the most. Hence, I transformed my backyard into what you see in these pictures.

It isn’t exactly what it was in Nowhere, but I do like the end result. Plants and other items from: Alirium Gardens, New Trails, Organica,  Garden of Dreams, KIDD Creation, Tobias Novi, Ferox Faber, Forest Feast, Artic Greenhouse, Heart, Botanical, Wretched Dollies, Rustica, Virtual Nature, Napoliy, and Forest Floor.

Fashion from others

I didn’t have anything to post about today (for now), so I thought in catching a couple of shots from a mini-crowd that congregated last night in Winterfell Aislinn for a patch of failed fishing, bad weather and chit chat.

Here is Eleanor with Wretched Dollies‘ Bettie Sioux dress, pink dotted, over the walkway (a swampy kind of catwalk, so to speak).  The umbrella, due to the heavy rain and hail, is from Creamshop, if I’m not mistaken.

Star, the hostess, takes a nap in a raft, wearing Wretched Dollies‘ new unisex suit, Dollie Plaid. I don’t know where she got that bleached hair.

And Mr. Naga “Copperfield”  (now you see him, now you don’t) crouches down to avoid the lightning. He wears an executive suit from I don’t know what designer. At least hair is Hair by Naughty‘s The Outsider. Behind him, Rustica‘s Crooked House.
