When we think about winter, very likely the first thing that comes to mind is the cold, and in zones beyond the tropics it’s snow too, and the trees going leafless and other plants freezing in the season’s weather, etc. But not everything is Greenland… or Canada, as a matter of fact, and there are hardy plants that can sustain some harsh conditions and even bloom in the cold. Take for example Cube Republic‘s new “Winter planting series”. If you enjoy transforming your parcel according to RL seasons, as I do, now you can add some cyclamen, or less romantically known as sowbread, pan de puerco, or pain de pourceau (colloquial English, Spanish and French, respectively, all meaning the same thing). These excellent 1 LI mesh plants come in red and pink (shown), and are so richly detailed that they look amazingly good.
Mossy rocks are also from Cube Republic’s Ossanha Gardens (click them to change textures) while the “Welcome Home” potted plant is from Oyasumi.
And to update last year’s Poinsettia review, this season Dysfunctional Designs introduced a wonderful potted Poinsettia that can be customized to everyone’s appeal. Each of the three flowers can show one of 11 textures, while there are eight options for the pot. There’s hardly anything better than these.
