Looking the Second Life metaverse through the eyes of reality

H&G Expo Day 4

H&G Expo sim 3 is today’s destination for the top 5 list. But I found only two items that I really like, so I’m grabbing the rest from sim #1, which was scheduled for tomorrow, and pick a sixth product to break another personal blogging rule. You know the rest of the story…

The Domineaux Effect Oakwood Manor

The Domineaux Effect

When mesh hit the main grid –I don’t remember exactly how long ago anymore– one of the first mesh products I bought was a floating rock-island from TDE. It has a cave that I intended to convert into a house because I didn’t want to use a normal skybox, but I never actually used it for anything at all. The differences between that old rock and the Oakwood Manor pictured above are more than evident. This mansion is only for the prim-strong, requiring a parcel ample enough to accommodate its large proportions and the almost 400 LI. Remember that you’ll need some furniture, so plan carefully.

TDE Gazebo

If you’re short on space and land capacity, this little 11 LI gazebo, which happens to be TDE’s RFL item, will certainly fit your needs. Don’t forget to grab the picket fence set next to it as well.

MeadowWorks

I already posted a picture of meadowWorks’ display at the H&G Expo (check this). Along the trail that crosses the sakura garden, there are not just two, but several RFL vendors selling objects of various sorts. My first pick was the astrolabe that I mistook for a sundial, but since there are so many details around that garden, the thin instrument got lost in the picture, literally. So I went for the moonflowers instead. One of the vines comes with its own moth.

Cattails and water lilies

Dysfunctional Designs

You already saw DD’s veggie garden in the same post I mentioned before, but I didn’t say a word about their RFL items: cattails and water lilies.

Nach

Nach

Kitty lovers should not miss Nach’s Cat Coat Wrack Clock. It is a must have RFL item.

If it’s color what you need for your house, this set of Draped Stools from Robin Sojouner won’t fail you. I think they will work well as small tables too, so there you have two products in one. The RFL item, a folding quilt rack, also has a colorful textile.

Black Tulip

And finally BT’s patio set. Although the name implies this table set is to be used in the patio of your home, I think it will also do well inside the house, either as part of the dining room or in the kitchen… unless you prefer to have breakfast outside, and it would be fine too. The table rezzes  breakfast (fruits, bacon, eggs and tomatoes), sandwiches (ham, lettuce, tomato slices and again some fruit), cranberry cake for dessert (and again some more fruit), lemon cake in case you don’t like the cranberry (and once again some fruit), vanilla ice cream with chocolate topping and a cherry as a crown (and you guessed right, some fruit), some bread (…with fruit), and so you don’t miss it, some lonely fruit again. I think I love this table already.
